Cyclops Case for iPhone 4/4S

Cyclops Case for iPhone 4/4S ($35, a.k.a. Cyclops Case II) isn't the first offering from Trident Case, but it's the first we've checked out for possible review purposes. It has a three-piece design: a soft rubber inner layer that wraps around the body of the device, and plastic front and back covers that snap together over it. Built into the front half is a permanent screen protector, and although the plastic frame covers the bottom chin of the phone, there's a hole for the rubber Home Button protection to jut through. All of the buttons around the edge are covered, and there are flip-open protectors for the headphone and Dock Connector ports as well as the silent switch. The whole thing has a mall kiosk feel -- and smell -- plus, although Trident Case includes a sheet of protective film for the back of the iPhone, the Apple logo is left exposed. We've said it before and we'll say it again: there's no reason for this, and it hurts the overall look of any case. Also packed into the set are a cleaning cloth and an applicator card. Cyclops Case is available in five colors.
